RV Features

This post will give an overview of the features included with our RV.

Upgraded Features over base model

Second Air Conditioning Unit - The original buyer spent about $1500 in 2010 to add a second A/C unit to the master bedroom.  The standard model comes with one A/C Unit in the middle of the RV. The additional A/C Unit is over the master bedroom. I really can't see how anyone could live without this.  The A/C Units have performed flawlessly the whole time we owned it.

Outdoor Kitchen - Our RV has an Outdoor Kitchen. The outdoor kitchen contains storage space, as well as a faucet and sink.  The sink is very useful, especially when grilling outside. It is nice to be able to wash your hands without needing to go inside.

King Size Bed - The master bedroom contains a king size bed instead of the standard queen.  This is very nice, especially if you have a baby sleeping with you.

Under Chassis Storage - This is awesome in that you can keep the dirty things like hoses here and not in your inside storage. I keep the hoses on one side, and leveling gear in the other.

Renovations

We did some renovations to make the RV fit our family. All furniture is included with the RV.

Installed Second Battery - To help the battery last longer when dry camping, we installed a second battery. The second battery was replaced in August 2016. In fact, both batteries were replaced within one week of each other. The ones in the photo album are the old ones.

Removed Sofa Sleeper - This sofa was in poor condition and we decided to give it away and replace with an oversized recliner. The recliner seats two adults or three little kids. This also helped to reduce overall weight.

Removed Dinette Area - Our family was too large to sit here, so we removed the whole thing and replaced with a table that sits 7 people. The table has 5 chairs and a bench seat.  When we slide in, we push the table against the wall.

Painted Walls - We got sick of the brown wall paper, and painted over it with a neural light green in the main area. In the bunkroom, we painted some of the walls based on colors that the kids chose.

Removed Window Valances - Removed these awful covers shortly after buying the RV.

Removed Door to Washer/Dryer Hookup Area - We decided to not purchase an RV Washer/Dryer and use laundromats instead. We used this area as a closet/office area. The door served no purpose.

Replacement Faucets - All of the faucets in the RV have been replaced with metal faucets intended for houses. The plastic faucets are marginally lighter but are plastic and of cheaper quality. Ironically these plastic fixtures cost more at an RV parts store than the metal ones do at Home Depot.

Extra Mattress Padding - We bought foam passing for all the bunks to make the beds more comfotable
